Water Treatment

	Water treatment is the process of cleaning water to improve its quality for later use. While the majority of treated water is typically used for human consumption, there are other purposes for treating water, such as medical uses, industrial processes, etc. There are several methods used in water treatment that Progressive Environmental specializes in. Scale Removal Systems

Progressive physical water treatment unit is an electronic unit that sends out a complex, dynamic current inside the pipe. As the induced electric field oscillates, all particles which have an electrical charge are affected. This causes the unstable mineral ions to precipitate or collide with each other to the point where the crystals grow until they become so large that there are no more surface charges left to stick to the pipe walls. These molecules precipitate into an aragonite form and flow through the system. As a byproduct of this effect, freed water molecules become available to remove existing scale. Progressive can accommodate line sizes from 1/2" to 40".

Filtration Systems

Progressive has an extensive line of water filtration systems. Individual units from 3/4" to 24" provide filtration from 3600 microns to 1 micron. In flow rates up to 12,000 GPM, these filters offer full flow filtration at a reasonable cost, low pressure drop, and easy manual or automatic self-cleaning. Filters are available in carbon or stainless steel with Progressive's optional pressure drop Sentinal Alarm System.

Solids & Iron Removal Systems

Progressive can provide you with several options for the removal of solids and iron from your water or wastewater. Our line of centrifugal solids separators can remove 98% of 200 mesh or larger sand, grit, and other solids from 10 to 6000 gpm. Our chemical-free iron removal systems effectively remove high iron concentrations and odors from your water by oxidation and filtration. Only water is used to backwash the filter media.

Chemical Formulations

Progressive and its staff of experienced water treament professionals have specialized in assisting clients achieve their goals with sound technology and enviromentally acceptable products. PEC provides a complete line of chemical formulations for boiler water, cooling water, potable water, process waters and wastewater treatment.

Disinfection Systems

From process water to recreational water to drinking water, our disinfections systems are capable of handling the most challenging disinfection and oxidation requirements. We offer both UV Light and ozone for a variety of industrial, commercial and residential applications. The result is cleaner, clearer, and more odor free water than is possible by chemical purification methods.

Ultra Pure Water

Have an abundant supply of ultra-pure water with GE's Merlin reverse osmosis and Homespring ultrafiltration water treatment systems. These systems can remove a broad range of unwanted substances such as high solids, salt, lead, arsenic, nitrates, sulfates, harmful chemicals and off-tastes and odors.

Valves

Progressive is now able to provide you with a wide range of valves for all your process and HVAC requirements. We manufacture a line of hydraulic Balancing valves, Eccentric Plug Valves, Silent Check Valves, Non-Slam Check Valves and our latest Triple-Duty Valve.

Pump Products

Our self-cleaning suction screen protects your pump and system from debris without periodic cleaning. The Progressive Suction Diffuser is designed to reduce space and installation costs by replacing a long radius elbow, strainer and extended entry pipe on the suction side of the pump, Flow stabilizing vanes reduce turbulence and resulting stress and vibration.
